The CUNY Games Network of the City University of New York is excited to announce the second annual CUNY Games Festival to be held on January 16, 2015 at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City.
The CUNY Games Festival 2.0 is a one day conference to promote and discuss game-based pedagogies in higher education. We aim to bring together all stakeholders in the field: faculty, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, and game designers. Both CUNY and non-CUNY participation is welcome.
It’s hard to believe that just a year ago we were starting to prepare for the first annual CUNY Games Festival conference of game-based learning in higher education. The good folks at Columbia University’s Teachers College EdLab’s New Learning Times interviewed us just before the conference, and the interview was published this week. Take a read and relive those fun and hectic days preparing for the conference!
And keep your eyes peeled — we’ll be posting the CFP for next year’s conference soon!
Cool conference alert! The call for proposals for the NASAGA 2014 Conference — to be held October 8-12 in Baltimore, Maryland — is closing soon. NASAGA is the North American Simulation and Gaming Association, and the conference will feature “workshops, posters, playful sessions and explorations of physical, digital and mixed reality games for learning.” There will also be a THATCamp Games co-located withthe conference.
The conference also features a number of scholarships for students and first-time attendees. The CFP closes on June 1, still plenty of time to submit your proposal!
